Sex starved man sets neighbor’s house on fire after being rejected

A 23-year-old man from Mvurwi appeared in court after he allegedly burned down his neighbour’s hut when she rejected his se_xual advances.

Eleward Sariwa of Chigudu Farm appeared before Guruve Magistrate Artwell Sanyatwe facing charges of unlawful entry and malicious damage to property. Despite denying the charges, Sariwa was denied bail and remanded in custody to the 17th of April for trial.

According to NewsDay, the State told the court that Sariwa broke into Precious Jamu’s bedroom without her consent and laid down on her bed.

When Jamu returned home, she was shocked to find Sariwa not only in her house but on her bed. She remonstrated with Sariwa about his conduct but he insisted that he needed to have intercourse with her.

Jamu flatly turned down the advances and threatened to scream for help if Sariwa did not leave her house. Sariwa left with bad grace and warned Jamu that he was going to fix her.

He then set Jamu’s kitchen hut on fire and destroyed goods worth $350.
