PATRIOTS for Economic Progress president (PeP) Sean Tembo should not dare the police through his social media postings because we are monitoring, says Acting police public relations officer Danny Mwale.
Mr. Mwale said Mr Tembo was on police bond and that he should wait for his time in court where he would be given a platform to exculpate himself unlike on social media.
Mr. Tembo is on police bond and he should just wait for his time in court where he will be given a platform to explain his matter.”- Mr Mwale
He said Mr. Tembo should not push his luck through his continued social media postings and force the police to act again.
In an interview yesterday, Mr. Mwale said that should Mr. Tembo be found on the wrong side of the law he risked being arrested in accordance with the law.
“Mr. Tembo is on police bond and he should just wait for his time in court where he will be given a platform to explain his matter.
“He should not dare us because we are monitoring his social media postings,” he said.
Last week, Police in Lusaka arrested Mr. Tembo for allegedly defaming President Edgar Lungu in his posts on Social media dated March 15, 2019. In his Facebook posting dated March 27, 2019 Mr Tembo described his incarceration as unlawful and insisted that he had not defamed the President through his earlier posting for which he had been arrested. In his most recent post, he dares police to kill him if they want because he would not relent.
