ZAMBIANS should reject National Democratic Congress Party because its leader Chishimba Kambwili is not presidential material, Islamic Supreme Council president Suzyo Zimba has said.
Mr Zimba said Mr Kambwili "was not a good leader as he only focused on insults and character assassination".
He said there was need to refine the constitution to stop political prostitution in the country. Mr Zimba told the Daily Nation yesterday that the country would be in turmoil if Zambians allowed the likes of the former lawmaker to govern the country.
He said the country needed issue-based politics that would address challenges and improve the welfare of the people.
Mr Zimba said the politics which Mr Kambwili had resorted to clearly showed that he was not presidential material. He said the only way Zambians should reject Mr. Kambwili was to never vote for anyone associated with him. Mr Kambwili has of late been claiming he was NDC leader but after being stopped by secretary general Mwenya Musenge from participating in party activities, he changed goals posts, insisting was the founder of the party.
Mr Kambwili had also on several times threatened Mr Musenge prompting him to refuse to campaign for the party's candidate in Roan to avoid confrontation.
Mr Kambwili has also based his campaigns in Roan on insults against President Edgar Lungu, and calling him all sorts of names.
