After a 2-0 win over Lesotho, the Zambia National women’s team have shifted their attention to Saturday’s second group B game against Cameroon.
The two teams will face off at 15:30 hours at the Wolfson Stadium in South Africa.
While Zambia are coming with a 2-0 win over Lesotho, Cameroon top the group after an emphatic 8-1 win over Mozambique.
And Zambia women’s national team acting coach Beauty Mwamba has hailed her charges for the victory in their opener.
Skipper Misozi Zulu and her Vice Barbra Banda scored the two goals in Thursday’s victory.
Mwamba however says her girls suffered from the chilly and windy weather despite the victory.
Notwithstanding Cameroon dismantling Mozambique, Mwamba is not fazed heading into the Saturday game.
According to fazfootball.com, Zambian trainer Enala Simbeya is currently drilling her team in Lusaka ahead of the tournament.
Simbeya is hoping to inspire the team to do better than last year’s third place finish in Zimbabwe.
Zambia is also due to compete at the 2018 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana in November.
Kickoff for the Zambia match is at 15:30 hours with Kwese TV showing the tournament live.
