Shepolopolo have vowed not to relax after making an impressive start to the 2018 COSAFA Women’s Cup in South Africa.
Zambia top Group B with six points after beating Lesotho 2-0 and Cameroon 1-0 in their first two matches played on Thursday and Saturday respectively.
Shepolopolo conclude group action against Mozambique on Tuesday.
“So far so good, the tournament is progressing well and we are doing fine,” Captain Misozi Zulu said.
“Team work has helped us so much. We contained Cameroon and ensured that we beat them,” Zulu said.
She emphasised that Zambia want to conclude group action with victory over Mozambique.
“We don’t need to relax just because we beat Cameroon. Even next game we must win. No need to draw, we must beat Mozambique so that people see that Zambia is doing fine,” Zulu said.
She is upbeat Zambia can reach the final and win the regional championship.
“We need support and prayers from fans back home. We won’t disappoint fans. We will bring cup to Zambia,” Zulu said.
